Katowice Show Cancelled 21 November 2009

Due to a bus breakdown, and beyond the artist’s & organizer’s control,
Grizzly Bear and St. Vincent are unable to play in Poland on the 22nd
November 2009. Micah P Hinson will still be playing and entry will be
free of charge. All tickets can be refunded at point of purchase.

We are all very sorry for any disappointment caused by this unfortunate and unavoidable incident, and both Grizzly Bear and St. Vincent will do their best to return to Poland at some point in the future.

We’re with you and we’re waiting for you! Take care, warm greetings from Poland!

What a disappointing evening yesterday… only three songs, one you’ve started whilst we were still waiting outside… Grizzly Bear losing their edgy sound and their sense of adventure for cheesy choirs (please, say to Ed to put less reverb on his voice!)… Have the impression everything stopped with your electric and nervous version of “Marrow”. Did I dream or was it real ? Good luck for the rest of the tour. I wait for a full show and I hate that bus.
Take care.

V. disappointed re: Paris show last night. I know, not your fault the GB bus broke down, but still… Went to see you more than GB, but you started while most people were still outside after 2 hours waiting. Lots of other people went for you too, so 3 songs was a let-down.

Similar experience at St Malo, again not your fault at all, your time slot was moved forward at short notice to the very first slot (while the gates were opening) so people missed the start of your set. I love your albums but that’s two very frustrating experiences in trying to see your shows, not sure I want to try a third time. Sorry.

Best wishes (sincerely).

Also very disappointed for last night in Paris… your 3 songs were so much better than the whole GB concert ! Be sure that a lot of people were here to see you. So you need to come back next year for a headline show. ACTOR = best album of the year.
Take care and see you soon.

I travelled from Barcelona to Paris just to see you, I was at the queue since 6 pm and people were already talking about your show being cancelled, I was so PISSED OFF. Well, at least you played 4 songs.

Which one was the fourth, Marta ? Just saw Actor, Save me from what I want, and Marrow… grrrrrrr.

Alex 23 November 2009, 06:14

The fourth song was “Jesus Saves, I Spend”. I also was a bit disappointed, since i would have liked 40 songs instead of 4, but still, it sounded great, and now i am sure that the next time you play in paris (not as an opening act hopefully!) will be great. i see this like a teaser for a perfect live show to come. so i’ll wait until then…
(and grizzly bear were very nice too)

(paris) i am also disapointed because after having waited a very long time, i’ve been only able to enter when you were playing Marrow.. i just saw you one minute. but what a minute ! you’re the most beautiful guitar hitter in the world.

Very good article! The author seems to be deeply interested in what he writes about. And readers feel that at once.
