OMG’ sounds like the best review you could have of any show. Or maybe the worst. I’m gonna hope it’s the best though, because I cannot wait to see him/them.

totally possible, kim is into simpler things in life, such as southern backyard bbq’s and annual visits to the state fair of texas (which rules). best people watching ever.

I just was reading through your blog, and it appears you like good documentaries, as well as the music of Arthur Russell, so I recommend that you check out “Wild Combination: A Portrait of Arthur Russell” (http://www.arthurrussellmovie.com/) if you get a chance. I was lucky to stumble upon it at a film festival last summer, and immediately spent the next month or so trying to track down as many of his rare recordings as I could…

i hate secret shows. so much. especially when they turn out to be in the very city you live in, and you hear about it the day after. as you could imagine, it’s a terribly frustrating experience. the same thing happened with me and the secret amanda palmer show last wednesday that i found out about thursday. i hate secrets.

Hey! I just got “Actors” and have had it playing on repeat all throughout the day. Your voice is beautiful. I saw you play at William and Mary when you came here a couple of years ago, and I just saw that you’ll be playing in DC on May 22. I promptly bought a ticket, so I’ll be looking forward to that. I’ll try to say hi at the show!

Totally my b: I meant to write “Actor.” No offense to your album! It’s damn good! I’m listening to it right now and feeling happy about life.

‘Seaweed tangle / in a home-from-home. . . .’ I’m so glad you gave a shout-out to ‘Rock Bottom.’ One of the greatest records ever made. That said, I now have ‘Actor’ on repeat; it’s a piece of genius.
    Congratulations.

    I love St. Vincent.
    I love Emily Haines.
    St. Vincent loves Robert Wyatt.
    Emily Haines loves Robert Wyatt.
Ergo, by the transitive property of love,
    I love Robert Wyatt. Squared.

Please come to Toronto. Your new album is immensely beautiful.

Ok, So I was at The B-roo. My birthday is also sept 28, 1982, and i have been listening to your excellent music for a little under 3 months. I am also a musician, going back to school to teach school, and would like you to write vocals to a track i have been writing on garage band. I know you’re a fan of the gband! If you read this email me! Great show btw! I caught the last 3/4. Had to catch a glimpse of animal collective at least ;)

You are one of those people I hope does well, is well-protected, and never changes as fame weaves its way into your life. One very interesting person against that sea of faceless/mindless pre-packaged celebrity-singers the corporate types keep shoving down our throats.

Lovely meeting you and all of your friends in Athens (slash Atlanta!). Can’t wait for the show in Dallas tomorrow, I am 110% positive it will rule just as much!

    Just saw you in Dennis.

transformative concert going experience. so beautiful.

    Sam 6 August 2009, 15:53

    Hi Annie,

You gave a shockingly wonderful performance last night in Dennis.

I’m in the band whose CD was rudely tossed onto the stage like a sacrificial animal. And we recently realized that we burned you a data CD. How silly of us. If you ever feel like listening to it, I’m afraid it will only work in a computer.

    Musically yours,
    Matt (and all of Elephantom)
